How to get to Aberdeen

Because of the Aberdeen oil industry, getting there can be expensive if you leave it till the last minute to book. So we recommend booking ASAP to get the best deal and to avoid leaving yourself out of pocket.

Planes
If you book at least two-three months in advance, you will probably get a return flight with BA, BMI or Easy Jet to Aberdeen Dyce Airport for around £60, which will get you up there in just over an hour. If you leave it to the last minute, the fair is likely to reach around £300 - so the early bird catches the worm!

Trains
The (direct) train from King's Cross (via York) will cost around £90 return and takes seven hours to get there, so unless you fancy taking the scenic route up the east coast, you're probably best off flying.

Automobiles
We don't recommend driving or getting the coach as that would take the best part of 12 hours and probably leave you crippled.
